Today, I’m going to explain why I made profit on some stocks and loss my money on another stock. The statistic which is very important to learn is EPS(Earnings per Share). According to Investopedia, Earnings per share (EPS) is a measure of a company’s profitability that indicates how much profit each outstanding share of common stock has earned. It’s calculated by dividing the company’s net income by the total number of outstanding shares. That way, when looking at the chart of a stock, it is important to check EPS to see if the company is making profit. More profit doesn’t mean it will lead to successful investments but low profits definitely mean it needs high risk to invest.
